Effects of black tea tooth staining previously to 35% hydrogen peroxide bleaching

چکیده

Aim: To determine if the artificial staining with black tea (BT) influences enamel microhardness before in-office bleaching and BT is necessary to evaluate efficacy of 35% hydrogen peroxide Methods: Enamel/dentin blocks were randomized into groups according protocol (n=5/group): (CO) control – maintained in saliva solution (AS); (BT4) immersed for 4 h; (BT24) 24 h. After protocols, all specimens kept AS one week, followed by (three sessions HP application 40 min). Knoop surface (kgF/mm2) was determined at baseline (T0), after (T1), 7 days storage (T2), (T3). The color (ΔE00) coordinate changes (ΔL, Δa, Δb) measured using a digital spectrophotometer T0 T3. Data submitted one-way (ΔE00, ΔL, or two-way ANOVA repeated measures Tukey’s test (a=5%). Results: protocols (BT4 BT24) promoted significantly lower (T1 T2, p<0.05) than CO, whereas CO only group maintain values over time. Bleaching perceptible ΔE00 without significant difference among regardless (p=0.122). BT4 showed no differences terms ΔL Δa (p>0.05), but displayed higher Δb CO. Conclusion: negatively affected not essential bleaching.

Enamel Susceptibility to Red Wine Staining after 35% Hydrogen Peroxide Bleaching

Concern has been expressed regarding the staining of enamel surface by different beverages after bleaching. This study investigated the influence of 35% hydrogen peroxide bleaching agents on enamel surface stained with wine after whitening treatments. Flat and polished bovine enamel surfaces were submitted to two commercially available 35% hydrogen peroxide bleaching agents or kept in 100% humi...

Indirect cytotoxicity of a 35% hydrogen peroxide bleaching gel on cultured odontoblast-like cells.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the trans-enamel and trans-dentinal effects of a 35% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) bleaching gel on odontoblast-like cells. Enamel/dentin discs obtained from bovine incisors were mounted in artificial pulp chambers (APCs). Three groups were formed: G1- 35% H2O2; G2- 35% H2O2 + halogen light application; G3- control. The treatments were repeated 5 times and the A...

The relationship of hydrogen peroxide exposure protocol to bleaching efficacy.

The purpose of this study was to compare two in-office bleaching methods with respect to tooth color change and level of hydrogen peroxide penetration into the pulp cavity and to evaluate relationships between penetration level and color change. Eighty extracted canines were exposed to two different bleaching regimens (conventional vs sealed bleaching technique). After exposure to 38% hydrogen ...
